Growing up I’ve had my fair share of experiences when it comes to jealousy, obsessions, envy and self-hatred.
However, I’ve learnt that self love and mental health is more important than having a degree or any other achievement.
Comparison will kill you.
The saying above is true… comparing yourself will never let you grow, be a duplicate of someone will never make you accept yourself more.
Love yourself and work on yourself.
I can put enough passion and emphasis on the line above.
Not everyone will love you. Not everyone will want to be your friend. But that’s okay. Living for the acceptance of others is not the way to live your life.
Live your life the way you want to. Travel if you want to. Have the last slice of cake if you want to. Do it… If you want to. Never. Ever force yourself into something because at the end of the day it’s you who has to endure it until you don’t want to tolerate it no more. This could apply to doing a sport, cutting your hair or choosing a degree.
Let go of wanting to be loved by others. Let go of comparing yourself. Let go of the jealousy and envy you have for that person. Let go of all the weight and the comments that hold you down from being happy… and soon you’ll wake up and embrace the day instead of dreading it.
